Operator Categories

Best Regional Operator

This category is open to companies operating on a local or regional level. Judges will consider the following:  any new technologies an operator has introduced to the benefit of the customer and overall business; the learning and development opportunities they provide; staff benefits and initiatives; evidence of great customer service and any measures that have been put in place to deal with business and/or industry challenges. Judges will also be looking at how the operator is working with the consumer to develop their range, for example with low calorie/sugar-free/ high in protein options and how sustainable they are as an organisation. They will also want to see that there is a preventative maintenance programme in place, with evidence of how it will be developed for the future.

Best Service Engineer

This category is for service engineers at vending operating companies currently doing business in the UK. It is aimed at recognising those individuals on the frontline; working face-to-face with end-users, managing expectations and dealing with the realities of equipment in use.

Best Operator Website

This category is open to innovative operators who use the online experience to improve the customer experience and increase sales.

Best National Operator

This category is open to companies operating on a national level. Judges will consider the following:  any new technologies an operator has introduced to the benefit of the customer and overall business; the learning and development opportunities they provide; staff benefits and initiatives; evidence of great  customer service and any  measures that have been put in place to deal with business and/or industry challenges. . Best Customer Service – Operator

This category is for any INDIVIDUAL currently working in a customer-facing role at a vending operating company that is doing business in the UK.

The Customer Service Award is designed for those people on the ground, who deal with customers on site or on the telephone. It is aimed at those individuals who are perceived by customers as the ‘go-to’ person who will assist them when they need it most.

Best Route Operator

This category is for route operators at vending operating companies currently doing business in the UK.

Best Overall Operator

This category is for vending operators of any size currently doing business in the UK. Judges will consider the following:  any new technologies an operator has introduced to the benefit of the customer and overall business; the learning and development opportunities they provide; staff benefits and initiatives; evidence of great customer service and any measures that have been put in place to deal with business and/or industry challenges. Judges will also be looking at how the operator is working with the consumer to develop their range, for example with low calorie/sugar-free/ high in protein options and how sustainable they are as an organisation. Best Area Manager

This award is open to an individuals tasked with ensuring consistently high standards across a designated area. Predominately a customer service award, judges will consider: what it is that makes this person stand out from the rest; details of any instances where they have dealt with a difficult situation or problem and/or gone above and beyond the expectations of the customer.
