NEW! Excellence in Communication Award
This award is for the best communication strategy by a supplier or an operator. Entrants can describe the way in which multiple communications methods, both online and offline, are used to successfully market a product or service.
When entering, consider how a product/service has been presented on your website, social media, newsletters, or at trade shows. Offline communication with staff, customers, partners and suppliers can also be included.
Customer Service Award
This category is for any TEAM in the vending industry currently doing business in the UK. The Customer Service Award is aimed specifically at ‘frontline’ staff – those people that deal with customers on site or on the telephone. It is aimed at those teams who pull together to problem-solve and give the customer the best possible experience of their company’s services.
NEW! Community Champion Award
This award is open to operators and suppliers who demonstrate a clear commitment to their local community through the implementation of initiatives which could be either sustainable, environmental, community-orientated, charitable, or a combination of these.
As a guideline, consider the following when submitting your entry:
- Community involvement (Include work with charities, food banks)
- How have you been involved in addressing social & environmental issues in your community
- Describe any long-term projects.
Best Vending Project
This category is open to any vending business or partnership that has delivered an innovative project, development or service that is not eligible for any other category. Businesses can enter either individually or collaboratively where more than one company has joined forces on an important vending project. This award is open to both operators and suppliers.
NEW! Best Newcomer
This award goes to a young professional, or a candidate who is new to the industry. The nominee will have had a significant and invaluable impact on their employer’s business by exceeding targets or customer recognition and will have established him or herself as an important team member. Please supply a short write up in support of the nomination.
Woman of the Year (Operator)
This award goes to the businesswoman who has gained industry-wide respect for her work in a vending operator role. Nominees will display strong leadership qualities, be known to advocate for the industry, hold strong business principles and contribute to the raising of standards. Please supply a short write up in support of the nomination.
Woman of the Year (Supplier)
This award goes to the businesswoman who has gained industry-wide respect for her work in a vending supplier role. Nominees will display strong leadership qualities, be known to advocate for the industry, hold strong business principles and contribute to the raising of standards. Please supply a short write up in support of the nomination.
Best Area Manager
This award is open to an individuals tasked with ensuring consistently high standards across a designated area. Predominately a customer service award, judges will consider: what it is that makes this person stand out from the rest; details of any instances where they have dealt with a difficult situation or problem and/or gone above and beyond the expectations of the customer.
Vending Hero
Nominations are called for for the Vending Hero Award which is presented to an industry innovator with at least 10 years of service to the vending industry. The Vending Hero is passionate about vending, goes above and beyond for the sake of the industry, and is always willing to educate others and help them succeed. The award is open to operators, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors.
NEW! Micromarket Collaboration
This award seeks to reward a collaboration in automated retail solutions such as micro markets, refreshment destinations, break out areas, self-service stations, interactive kiosks etc.
All operators, manufacturers and suppliers are invited to enter on behalf of their partners.

Industry benefits
How has the collaboration contributed to the growth of the automated retail sector – ie. reaching new customer markets / creating opportunities for vending operators / attracting F&B brands to vending as a channel.
Design
Aesthetically pleasing design can enhance the overall experience for the consumer. What new equipment has been used as well as innovative furniture design and branding?
Technology
What new technologies have been used.
Customer benefits
What are the main benefits to the customer. How has the project/solution transformed existing catering facilities?
NEW! Best Sales Person
This award is presented for outstanding achievements in a sales role. Your nomination can include evidence of revenue growth, customer retention numbers or growth, new accounts, success in sale of product, expansion into new areas. You may also include customer comments/testamonials.
Lifetime Achievement
Nominations are called for in this award that will recognise the vending personality who boasts impressive milestones and longevity in the industry. The award acknowledges the winner’s sustained achievements during a distinguished career. Nominees should have been working in the vending sector for at least 25 years by 2025.
The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges with the winner announced on June 4th 2025.
